Los Transplantes
"Jazz precision, folkloric collision, urban flow."
Like the city where we come from, our music is a beautiful melting pot of different cultural and musical worlds. We mix and match our diverse influences to spawn something that is authentic, organic, and very uniquely special.

An electrifying mix of Cuban timba, Afro Colombian folklore, erudite jazz, and contagious dance music, Los Transplantes are here to present a bold new soundtrack for the real all American diaspora. In our current political climate that is increasingly afflicted by cultural division, this band defies hate and instead focuses on unification amongst all people. Spreading their message through hope, resilience and love, Los Transplantes deliver their core statement through multiple languages; the earth belongs to all people, and unless you are Indigenous to the land you live on, then just like us, you too are a transplant from somewhere!
Pianist/vocalist/multi instrumentalist Puli(Akana), bassist/vocalist Alex Dyring, and percussionist/vocalist/multi instrumentalist brahmi, make up a compact yet hard hitting unit with an eclectic sound as diverse as the cultural backgrounds of its members. Blending elements of hip hop, cumbia, salsa, fusion, RnB, and just about every other musical style you can think of, Los Transplantes are a product of their NYC environment: a beautiful melting pot of culture that honors and celebrates difference and diversity.
In the short time the band has officially been together, they’ve already grown a strong cult-like following across New York City and beyond proving that this is just the beginning. Sure to heat up any room in a matter of seconds with their infectious grooves and boisterous energy, it’s impossible to not immediately agree that Los Transplantes, sin duda, están aquà para siempre.
